Privacy Policy

Who controls your information
The legal seller identified above is the controller of personal data processed for the TechEncore store unless a service provider acts as an independent controller for its own purposes. You can contact us through our contact us.
What we collect
Depending on your use of the store, we may process your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, account details, order and product information, correspondence, returns information, IP address, browser/device and security logs, and cookie or analytics information where enabled. Payment providers normally process payment-card information directly; the store does not need to receive or retain the full card number for ordinary checkout processing.
Why we use it
We process information to take and administer orders, deliver goods, provide accounts and customer service, handle returns and consumer rights, secure the website and prevent fraud, keep required tax/accounting records, establish or defend legal claims, and improve the store. Depending on the purpose, the lawful basis may be performance of a contract, legal obligation, legitimate interests or consent.
Who receives it
We share information only as reasonably necessary with providers supporting hosting, ecommerce, payment, delivery, email/communications, security, fraud prevention, analytics (if enabled), professional advice and legal/regulatory requirements. Some providers act as processors on our instructions and others may be independent controllers for their own regulated services.
International transfers
If personal data is transferred outside the UK, we use or rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where UK data-protection law requires one.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose, taking account of legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, warranty, dispute and record-keeping requirements. Different categories of records can therefore have different retention periods.
Your rights
Subject to legal conditions and exemptions, you may have rights to access and correct your data, request erasure or restriction, object to certain processing, receive certain data in portable form and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact us to exercise a right.
Marketing
We will only send electronic direct marketing where we have a lawful basis to do so and will provide an appropriate way to opt out. Transactional order and service messages are not marketing.
Cookies and similar technologies
Necessary technologies may be used for basket, checkout, account, security and privacy-choice functions. Non-essential analytics, advertising or personalisation technologies require an appropriate lawful basis and, where required, prior consent. See our Cookie Policy and on-site cookie controls.
Complaints
Please contact us first if you have a privacy concern. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
